Idstein police probe hit-and-run, motorcycle crash, and car vandalism in one day

Police in Idstein are investigating three separate incidents that occurred on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. A hit-and-run collision, a motorcycle crash, and a case of vehicle vandalism have all been reported within hours of each other. Authorities are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any relevant information.

The first incident took place around 1:30 PM on State Road 3032 near Taunusstein-Steckenroth. A 16-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his Yamaha bike, suffering injuries and writing off the motorcycle. Damage to the bike is estimated at around €5,000.

Later that afternoon, a hit-and-run occurred on Wiesbadener Straße near house number 40. Police are searching for a black panel van believed to be involved in the collision. Witnesses who saw the vehicle or the incident are urged to contact Idstein Police Station. That same evening, between 8:45 PM and 10:30 PM, a black Cupra Terramar parked on Eisenbach Street had two tires slashed on the driver’s side. The vandalism was reported to local officers, who are now reviewing the case.
