Bergisches StÀdtedreieck debuts free Night of Technology on 8 May 2026

The Bergisches StĂ€dtedreieck region will hold its first Night of Technology on Friday, 8 May 2026. The event brings together 29 companies, universities, and organisations from Solingen, Remscheid, and Wuppertal. Visitors will explore everything from robotics and sustainable mobility to disaster response and digital innovation—all for free. The evening will feature hands-on experiences across multiple sites. In Solingen, item Industrietechnik GmbH will lead guided tours through its modern logistics and production systems. Nearby, TECSAFE GmbH will demonstrate how custom foam inserts are made, while Röltgen GmbH & Co. KG showcases the precision work behind embossing dies. For a look at traditional craftsmanship, the LVR Industrial Museum’s Hendrichs Drop Forge will open its doors to display classic toolmaking techniques.

The **Bergische UniversitÀt Wuppertal** will also take part, offering free access to its programmes. Organisers have designed the event to highlight career paths in technical fields, with a special focus on engaging young people. To encourage participation, the *Bergisches YoungTalent Ticket* will grant free entry to students, trainees, and university attendees. Topics covered will range widely, from industrial automation and energy supply to digital transformation and emergency response strategies. Each location aims to make complex technology approachable and interactive for the public.

The Night of Technology will run on a single evening, with all activities open at no cost. By combining demonstrations, tours, and expert discussions, the event seeks to connect local industries with future talent. Free access for young participants and students is intended to remove barriers to exploring technical careers.
