Goslar's Bold New Mobility Plan Puts Residents in the Driver's Seat

Goslar is working on a new mobility plan to improve transport across the city. The scheme aims to create sustainable and climate-friendly travel options while meeting local demand. Residents have already shared their views through surveys and online tools to shape the project’s direction. The city administration began by analysing the current traffic situation in detail. Public feedback, gathered via an online map and a mobility survey, was included in this review. Officials are now identifying key areas for action and designing measures based on their long-term transport policy goals.

Two information sessions will take place in May to present the initial findings. These events will also give residents a chance to discuss future mobility priorities. After this phase, the city will move on to developing concrete solutions. The plan focuses on making transport more efficient while supporting climate protection targets. Updates and further details are available on the city’s official website at www.goslar.de/en/economy-and-future-location/building-and-housing/mobility-plan-for-goslar.

The next steps will involve turning public input and traffic data into practical measures. These changes are intended to create a more sustainable transport network for Goslar. Further announcements will follow as the plan progresses.
