Takko Fashion Opens Massive €80M Logistics Hub in Salzgitter by 2028
Takko Fashion is expanding its logistics network with a major new distribution centre in Salzgitter. The company has leased nearly 60,000 square meters of warehouse and office space at Garbe Industrial’s logistics hub. The facility is set to open in mid-2028 and will support both physical stores and online sales. The new centre in Salzgitter-Heerte will serve as Takko Fashion’s central logistics hub in Germany. It includes roughly 52,600 square meters of warehouse space, 3,600 square meters of mezzanine storage, and 3,100 square meters for offices and staff facilities. A 4,000-square-meter canopy will also allow side unloading of delivery trucks.
The company chose the site for its location, quality, and immediate availability. While most of the space will be used for Takko’s operations, a smaller standalone unit of about 10,000 square meters remains available for lease. The total investment in the Salzgitter-Heerte property reaches approximately €80 million. Once fully operational, the centre is expected to create up to 600 long-term jobs. It will play a key role in supplying Takko’s brick-and-mortar stores while also supporting the growth of its online business.
The Salzgitter facility marks a significant step in Takko Fashion’s logistics strategy. Scheduled to open in mid-2028, it will centralise the company’s German operations and boost employment in the region. The hub’s design and location aim to improve efficiency for both retail and e-commerce distribution.
