Ober-Ramstadt police crack down on speeding near Diakonie facility
Police in Ober-Ramstadt have carried out speed checks as part of a wider road safety campaign. The operation took place on Wednesday evening near a local Diakonie facility. Officers monitored drivers to ensure compliance with the speed limit. The checks were conducted on August 6 along Dornwegshöhenstraße, where the speed limit is set at 30 km/h (around 19 mph). Between 7 PM and 8 PM, around 25 vehicles passed through the enforcement zone. Of these, four drivers were caught exceeding the legal speed.
Further speed checks will continue at different locations throughout the campaign week and beyond. The operation forms part of the ongoing 'Speedweek' initiative to improve road safety. Additional enforcement measures will remain in place to deter speeding in the area. Police have urged all motorists to adhere to posted limits.
