Brazen Daylight Robbery Shakes Frankenberg's Historic District
A woman was robbed in broad daylight in Frankenberg’s old town on Monday afternoon. The incident took place on Teichpforte Street, near the local car park, at around 5:30 PM. Police are now searching for witnesses and appealing for information about the attacker. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, was pushed to the ground by an unknown assailant. The attacker snatched her EDEKA shopping bag, which contained groceries worth around €65. The perpetrator then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a man aged between 35 and 40, standing 170 cm to 180 cm tall, with an athletic build and light skin. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms, and dark shoes with wide, white laces. The Korbach Criminal Police are leading the investigation. They have urged anyone with details about the crime or the suspect to come forward.
