Woman's tablet and laptop stolen from unlocked car in Darmstadt

A 26-year-old woman reported the theft of her tablet and laptop after leaving them in her car on Wednesday evening. The incident took place in a store parking lot on Robert-Bosch-Straße in Darmstadt. Police are now investigating how the vehicle was accessed without forced entry. The woman parked her white Audi between 5:30 and 5:40 p.m. on August 20. She only noticed the missing devices upon returning home. Both the tablet and laptop had been left in the footwell of the car.

Authorities suspect the car was opened by unknown means, though no signs of tampering were immediately found. The Darmstadt Police Precinct 21/22 has asked anyone with information about suspicious activity near the vehicle to come forward.
