Vandals saw through young trees in Neu-Isenburg, sparking safety concerns
Several young trees in Neu-Isenburg have been deliberately damaged over the past week. The attacks targeted a wild fruit orchard along Triebweg and a nearby area in the municipal forest. Authorities now warn that the vandalised trees pose a serious safety risk.
Between Monday, August 18, and Thursday, seven trees in the orchard were sawed through. The destruction caused thousands of euros in damages. Police suspect the same culprits also targeted additional trees near Gravenbruchring in the municipal forest.
The damaged trees must now be felled due to the safety hazard they present. Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact Neu-Isenburg Police Station at +49 6102 2902-0.
The vandalism has left the community facing costly repairs and potential dangers. Investigators continue to search for leads in the case. Anyone with relevant details is encouraged to assist the police.
