Wiesbaden braces for major roadworks and bus diversions starting March 30

Major roadworks in Wiesbaden will disrupt traffic and bus services from Monday, March 30, 2026. Wiesentalstraße in Heßloch will close for fiber optic cable installation, while Hollerbornstraße faces a full shutdown for sewer repairs. Several bus routes will be diverted, with temporary stops set up to minimise inconvenience for passengers. The closure of Wiesentalstraße begins at around 10:00 AM on Monday, March 30, lasting until Saturday, April 4. The work involves laying fiber optic cables between house number 5 and Hirschgartenstraße. During this period, buses on route 24 will be diverted via Sandhasenweg, Vogelsangstraße, and Hirschgartenstraße. A temporary 'Hessloch' stop for route 24 will operate on Hirschgartenstraße, while buses heading toward Wiesbaden will follow the same diversion in reverse.

Route N11 will also face changes, with buses traveling toward Wiesbaden taking a detour via Vogelsangstraße, Sandhasenweg, and Wiesentalstraße. A temporary stop for route N11 will be located on Michaelisstraße, where buses will turn around before continuing their journey. Meanwhile, Hollerbornstraße will be fully closed from March 30 to approximately April 11 for sewer connection works between Nixenstraße and Eschbornstraße. An interactive map has been made available for residents and commuters to check the latest updates on all affected areas. After the works on Wiesentalstraße are completed, route N11 will return to its usual path via Vogelsangstraße, Sandhasenweg, and Wiesentalstraße.

The roadworks will cause temporary changes to bus routes and traffic flow in Wiesbaden. Residents and passengers are advised to plan ahead, using the provided interactive map for real-time updates. The closures and diversions are scheduled to end by mid-April, once the necessary infrastructure upgrades are complete.
