Vodokanal PJSC cuts wastewater services for 45 debtors in 2026 crackdown

Vodokanal PJSC has taken steps to address unpaid bills by suspending wastewater services for some customers. In the first quarter of 2026, 45 out of 108 debtors faced service cuts due to outstanding payments. The total arrears for these suspended accounts reached 2.78 million rubles. The company began issuing restriction notices in March, targeting 66 consumers in the Prometei microdistrict. These warnings followed overdue payments spanning more than two billing periods. Under Russian law, full service termination occurs 30 days after such notices are sent.

To help residents avoid disruptions, Vodokanal PJSC held an outreach event in the Prometei microdistrict on April 28, 2026. The firm also reminded customers that debt restructuring options remain available at RKTs ZHKh LLC cash offices and Vodokanal’s customer service centres. These agreements can be arranged before any service limitations take effect. Mass restrictions on wastewater disposal will now roll out across the Prometei microdistrict throughout May. The utility provider continues to urge all customers to settle bills promptly to prevent further penalties or interruptions.

Residents with outstanding balances still have time to negotiate repayment plans before facing service cuts. Vodokanal PJSC has stressed the importance of paying bills in full and on time to avoid additional costs. The company’s measures aim to recover debts while offering restructuring options to affected households.
