Rosenthaler Straße to close for two months in 2026 for heating upgrades
Rosenthaler Straße (L 3077) in Rauschenberg-Bracht will close completely for nearly two months next year. The road will be shut between Auf dem Sand and Grüner Weg from 13 April 2026 to 5 June 2026. The closure comes as part of planned work on the local heating network. Drivers heading toward Rosenthal will face a long-distance detour during the closure. The alternative route follows L 3077, B 3, L 3077 again, and finally L 3087. Signs will direct motorists along this path.
Pedestrians, however, will not need to take the detour. A designated walkway will guide them safely past the construction site within the town. No recent records exist of similar infrastructure projects affecting this stretch of road in the past five years. The upcoming work marks the first major disruption to traffic in the area in recent time.
The closure will remain in effect until early June 2026. Drivers are advised to plan extra time for journeys, while pedestrians can continue using the marked path. The heating network upgrades are expected to complete by the reopening date.
