Rembrücken's young volunteers raise €4,300 in record collection week
Rembrücken Youth Fire Brigade Sets New Fundraising Record
The Rembrücken Youth Fire Brigade has once again raised a record sum during this year's Youth Collection Week organized by the Hessian Youth Council. According to the fire department, the campaign brought in €4,345.43 in donations.
Eight teams of young fundraisers took to the streets for the initiative, spending a total of 56 hours going door-to-door to solicit contributions for youth programs. They were accompanied and guided by adult volunteers from the Youth Fire Brigade's youth committee.
Half of Proceeds Go to Hessian Youth Council
Part of the money raised will stay in Rembrücken, while the rest will support youth work at the state level. Half of the funds will be transferred to the Hessian Youth Council, which, according to the fire department, promotes youth services and activities across Hesse. The funds will help finance camps, outings, and other initiatives.
The remaining half will go to the Rembrücken Youth Fire Brigade itself. As a reward for their efforts, the young volunteers will get to choose a group excursion for the entire youth division, planned for the second half of the year.
Nearly 400 Residents Contribute
The fire department reported that around 400 local residents participated in the drive, helping to achieve the new record total.
For the Youth Fire Brigade, the result is also a sign of strong community backing. The successful collection reflects the high esteem in which Rembrücken holds its young firefighters.
