Overnight crime spree leaves multiple towns on high alert

Neustadt: Woken up by glass breaking
Just before midnight on the late Monday (22.09.2025), a resident of a single-family house in the 'Neue Gartenstraße' in Neustadt was startled by the sound of glass breaking. The resident turned on the light and noticed that the glass of their terrace door was damaged. They saw a young man fleeing over a garage roof and then on foot towards the station. He is described as approximately 180 cm tall, slim, and between 18 and 25 years old. The unknown had pale skin, wore a black hoodie, and blue jeans. Witnesses who have seen a person matching the description or can provide information on the identity of the described young man are asked to contact the Marburg Criminal Police by phone at 06421 4060. The perpetrator left empty-handed.
Wohratal: Intruder in sewage treatment plant
Burglars gained access to the site of the sewage treatment plant in Halsdorf between Monday (22.09.2025), 16:00 and Tuesday (23.09.2025), 07:55. They broke into doors of two buildings. The perpetrators searched the buildings but, as of now, did not make any loot. The Marburg Kripo takes tips at 06421 4060.
Kirchhain: Clothing container opened
Presumably using a cutting disc, unknown persons opened an old clothes container in the Waldstraße in Anzefahr. The incident occurred between Monday (22.09.2025), 18:30 and Tuesday (23.09.2025), 06:30. It is currently unclear whether the perpetrators took anything. Witnesses who have made suspicious observations are asked to contact the police in Stadtallendorf (Tel.: 06428 93050).
Marburg: Laptop stolen
A laptop is the loot of a burglar who broke into an office room of a university building in the Deutschhausstraße between Monday (22.09.2025), 19:00 and Tuesday (23.09.2025), 09:30. Previously, the perpetrator had damaged a window. The Marburg Criminal Police is investigating and requests tips at 06421 4060.
Gladenbach: Hit-and-run on market day
Between 10:00 and 11:00 on Thursday (18.09.2025), a hit-and-run occurred on the market square in Gladenbach. Presumably while parking in or out, an unknown driver damaged a parked black Audi A4 with their vehicle. At the time of the accident, there was a market day on the Gladenbach market square. Witnesses of the accident are asked to contact the police station in Biedenkopf (Tel.: 06461 92950).
