Bomb threat at Frankenberg district court prompts evacuation and investigation

A bomb threat at the district court in Frankenberg triggered a police response this morning (24 September). As no evidence of an actual threat was found, the caller is now being investigated.
At around 11:10 AM, the watchmaster's office at the district court in Frankenberg reported receiving a bomb threat via telephone from an alleged witness. The person claimed to have overheard two men discussing plans to carry out a bomb attack at the district court in Frankenberg today.
The watchmaster's office immediately initiated the evacuation of the building. Patrols from the Frankenberg police station, including a police dog, then searched the building. No dangerous objects were found inside or outside the building.
The call was assessed by police experts and deemed not to be a serious threat, allowing the court to reopen for normal operations at around 11:45 AM. The caller is now being investigated for disturbing the public peace by threatening criminal acts.
