Neu-Isenburg's 2,000-Euro Donation Boosts Struggling Local Food Bank

**Neu-Isenburg's municipal utilities have once again demonstrated their social commitment by supporting the Neu-Isenburg food bank with a donation of 2,000 euros. On September 25th, Kirk Reineke, CEO of the municipal utilities, and Stefan Schmitt, First Councillor and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, presented the donation check to Maria Sator-Marx, the head of the food bank.**

Important Help for the Needy

The food bank has been supporting people in need for many years. Every Friday, volunteers distribute food at the St. Josef church. As the number of people seeking help continues to grow, the facility is increasingly dependent on donations to cover costs for food, storage, vehicles, and aids.

Employees Collected at the Festival

The donation from the municipal utilities was made possible by the efforts of the employees at the Open-Doors festival. Visitors could win prizes by spinning a wheel for a small donation, and the surplus from the wine stand also went into the donation box. The municipal utilities then rounded the amount up to 2,000 euros.

"We are proud of this fantastic financial result, which our hardworking employees have achieved with the proceeds from the wheel of fortune and our wine stand," said Kirk Reineke, CEO of the municipal utilities.

A Sign of Social Cohesion

Stefan Schmitt, First Councillor, emphasized the importance of the support: "The work of the food bank is an indispensable pillar of social cohesion in our city. With the commitment of the municipal utilities, we are setting an example that Neu-Isenburg is there for each other - especially in times when more and more people are in need of help."
