Mittenaar-Offenbach: Roller shutter withstands break-in attempts

Unknown individuals attempted to enter the Aldi store on the B255 in the night from Wednesday (03.09.2025) to Thursday (04.09.2025). Between 20:15 and 07:30, they tampered with a roller shutter and the window behind it. The roller shutter held up against the break-in attempts. The thieves fled without gaining access to the store. The police are now investigating the attempted break-in and are asking for witnesses: Did anyone notice suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of the store? Wetzlar: Controls in the city area

Together with the city police, officers of the Wetzlar police carried out controls on several vehicles in the city area on 27.08.2025. Between 20:00 and 24:00, the law enforcement officers carried out speed checks on the Karl-Kellner-Ring. 108 drivers must expect a warning fine because they did not comply with the prescribed 50 km/h. On some of the vehicles checked, the officers found modifications that were not registered. A 45-year-old had mounted wheels on her Audi that were not permitted in combination with the A3's suspension. The driver of a 6-series BMW had installed a suspension with unauthorized spacers. A Mercedes driver had an altered rear spoiler and unauthorized LED lights on his C-class. All received defect notices. They now have to eliminate the defects. Two car drivers and one small motorcycle driver were driving without a driver's license, they will now be charged with driving without a driver's license. A 50-year-old from Wetzlar must answer for driving under the influence. He was on his pedelec with 1.8 percent alcohol.
