A blown tire on a tractor-trailer triggered a multi-vehicle incident with major disruptions on the A3 motorway Monday evening. The 41-year-old driver was traveling toward Frankfurt when, at approximately 9:35 p.m., one of the rear tires on his rig burst just before the Niedernhausen exit. He managed to steer the vehicle onto the hard shoulder, but debris from the tire scattered across the lanes. Twenty-three other motorists were unable to avoid the fragments, resulting in significant damage to several vehicles. Preliminary estimates place the total cost of the incident at around €35,000.
