Motorcyclist flees police check in Odenwald, chased down in Frohnhofen

**Southern Hesse Police Headquarters** ***Reichelsheim*** *(our platform)* On Sunday (September 14), police conducted targeted traffic checks in the Odenwald district, focusing particularly on motorcyclists (as previously reported). At around 12:10 p.m., officers attempted to stop and inspect a biker at the *Gumpener Kreuz* intersection. Instead of complying, the rider swerved abruptly and accelerated sharply to evade the check. A police motorcyclist pursued him and observed the rider speeding well above the limit along the federal highway toward Reichelsheim before turning onto Sudetenstraße and overtaking several other road users. The motorcyclist was eventually stopped by police in Frohnhofen. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether other road users were endangered or forced into hazardous situations by the reckless behavior of the fleeing rider. Police ask anyone who may have been affected—whether endangered, obstructed, or otherwise impacted by the motorcyclist near *Gumpener Kreuz* or on Sudetenstraße at the time of the incident—to contact the traffic inspection unit in Erbach at +49 6062 953-0.
