Hessentag 2026 Opens Parade Spots for Marburg-Biedenkopf Groups

The Hessentag festival will take place in Fulda from June 12 to 21, 2026, under the theme Experience Hesse. Local groups from the Marburg-Biedenkopf district now have the chance to join the festival's parade on June 21. Financial support is available for those selected to participate. A total of 47 associations and clubs from the Marburg-Biedenkopf district have already applied for a spot in the parade. The deadline for submissions remains open until February 20, 2026. Only three groups from the district will ultimately be chosen to take part.

Each selected group will receive a €300 subsidy from the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. The Hessian State Chancellery will add another €250 in funding per participant. Organisers have provided detailed parade rules and further information on the county's website at https://www.ourwebsite/hessentag. Applications can be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to the Marburg-Biedenkopf County Administration.

The festival will run for ten days, ending with the parade on June 21. Successful applicants will benefit from combined funding of €550 per group. The selection process will determine which three local associations join the event in Fulda.
