Police Investigate Vehicle Vandalism in Neu-Isenburg
Authorities in Neu-Isenburg are probing a case of criminal damage to parked cars in Hugenottenallee at the intersection with RheinstraĂe. According to police, two witnesses noticed a man tampering with vehicles on the parking lot of a post office branch at around 11:05 p.m. on Friday evening. The observers described the suspect as approximately 75 to 80 years old with gray hair. They then alerted a patrol unit that was nearby.
Scratches in the Paint and Escape in a Compact Car
Shortly afterward, officers reportedly saw a gray compact car with OF license plates driving away from the post office premises. The driver allegedly concealed his face with a balaclava or mask. A manhunt and further investigations were launched, but the suspect has not yet been located.
During the forensic examination, investigators found multiple fresh scratches on a vehicle owned by the city of Neu-Isenburg, as well as on a private car. Police believe the damage was likely caused by a sharp object. The estimated cost of repairs is around âŹ2,500.
Police Seek Witnesses
The two witnessesâdescribed by police as "an apparent couple"âwho initially approached officers at the scene are asked to contact Neu-Isenburg police station again. Authorities also urge any additional witnesses or anyone with information about the fleeing vehicle to come forward by calling 06102 29020.
