Stadtallendorf: Robbery and a break-in within a short period of time

On Thursday (18 September) two violent crimes occurred within ten minutes in the Stadtallendorf area.

A 34-year-old woman was on her way home in Iglauer Weg around 02:25 when two men suddenly appeared and demanded her handbag at knifepoint. They snatched the handbag and pushed her to the ground. One of the suspects rummaged through the bag and took the cash.

One suspect was approximately 1.70 meters tall, around 25 to 27 years old, and slim. He had a beard, dark eyes, and a darker complexion. He was wearing a white hoodie with a hood and black shoes. The second unknown suspect was approximately 1.60 meters tall, around 30 years old, and muscular. He had a shaved head and was wearing a black jacket, a brown or red t-shirt, and black shoes.

Shortly afterwards, an unknown person broke into an apartment on the 2nd floor of a multi-family house in Niederrheinische Straße. When the 55-year-old resident woke up and noticed him, he attacked her. Apparently due to her resistance, he then ran down the stairs and fled in an unknown direction. He was 1.70 meters tall, had dark hair styled in an 'afro', and had a darker complexion. He was wearing a white hoodie and black pants. The incident occurred around 02:35.

The police are investigating whether the two crimes are connected and are appealing for witnesses.
