Audi's transformation leader Yvonne Bettkober exits in leadership shake-up

Audi is losing a key figure in its internal realignment. The Ingolstadt-based automaker announced on Tuesday that Yvonne Bettkober is leaving the company of her own accord and "by mutual agreement." Since March 2025, Bettkober had overseen Audi's "Transformation, Consulting, and Organization" division during a critical restructuring phase.

The executive was tasked with streamlining processes, boosting efficiency, and reorganizing the company's structure. This included permanently reducing costs and strengthening competitiveness. According to the manufacturer, major milestones in this area have been achieved, and Bettkober is now departing the Volkswagen Group with immediate effect.

Audi CEO Gernot Döllner explicitly praised her contributions. "Yvonne Bettkober has provided crucial momentum. (...) She played a pivotal role in making the company more focused, efficient, and agile, while further developing a culture of accountability and collaboration," he stated. He added: "Transformation only succeeds together—and we will continue this path resolutely as Team Audi. Together, we are shaping change." Döllner said he respects Bettkober's decision and wishes her "all the best for the future."

Until a successor is named, Daniel Kauer, currently Head of the General Secretariat and Corporate Strategy, will take on her responsibilities in addition to his existing role. Audi reaffirmed its commitment to the current course, stating that the company's transformation will continue consistently across organization, product strategy, and technological development.
