Wiesbaden's Social Services cuts walk-in hours starting April 1

The Social Welfare Department at Wiesbaden's Social Services and Job Center is changing its public service hours. From April 1, new walk-in times will apply at four key locations. The update aims to streamline access while keeping essential services available.

Starting next month, residents can visit without an appointment on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. This replaces the previous system at the affected branches: Konradinerallee 11, Schwalbacher Straße 26, Dotzheimer Straße 99, and Hagenauer Straße 44.

For urgent matters, the centres will continue accepting visitors during their standard opening hours. Those needing appointments outside the new walk-in slots can still book individual meetings. The adjustment does not affect all departments, but specific details on staffing or further changes remain unclear.

The revised schedule takes effect on April 1. Walk-in access will now be limited to two mornings per week, though urgent cases and pre-booked visits remain unaffected. Residents are encouraged to check the latest updates before planning their visits.
