- Accident involving stolen moped
Wiesbaden, Oranienstraße Friday, 19.09.2025, 16:20 (eh) On Friday around 16:20, an accident occurred in the Oranienstraße involving a moped rider. Around the same time, a moped theft was reported nearby. The two incidents were quickly linked. However, the rightful owner could not immediately retrieve the moped as it was completely destroyed in the accident. The driver was not only injured and required hospital treatment, but also appeared to be under the influence of intoxicating substances and did not have a valid driver's license. Several investigations were initiated against the 21-year-old Wiesbaden resident.
- Arrests following theft from catering establishment Wiesbaden, Mitte, Kochbrunnenplatz Saturday, 20.09.2025, 04:21 (cp) In the early hours of Saturday morning, Wiesbaden police arrested two men who had gained unauthorized access to a café. One of the two also had an arrest warrant out for him, while a third suspect managed to escape. The three suspects gained entry to the café on Kochbrunnenplatz around 04:20 through what may have been an incorrectly locked sliding door. While searching the premises, they triggered an alarm, which alerted the police. Upon arrival, the suspects fled on foot. Two of them, a 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old youth, were quickly apprehended. The 22-year-old was released after police measures were completed in the morning. However, a warrant was out for the youth, who was taken to a juvenile detention center. Despite search efforts, the third unknown suspect managed to escape. - Donation box stolen from Tierpark Kastel Wiesbaden, Kastel, Unterer Zwerchweg Friday, 19.09.2025, 17:30 to Saturday, 20.09.2025, 08:30 (cp) Unidentified individuals stole a donation box containing around 50 euros in cash from the Tierpark Mainz-Kastel on Friday night. The suspects gained access to the park's grounds between Friday, 17:30 and Saturday, 08:30, unknown how. They then broke a donation box out of the wall of a wooden hut and escaped with their loot undetected. Witnesses with information about the suspects are asked to contact the police at 0611 3450.
- Attempted robbery in pedestrian zone Wiesbaden, Grabenstraße Saturday, 20.09.2025, 22:54 (eh) On Saturday night, a 52-year-old man was approached by three unknown men in front of a restaurant in Wiesbaden's city center and demanded his cash, threatening to 'stab him' if he didn't comply. He managed to flee into the restaurant and alert the police. The approximately 20-year-old suspects left the scene without any loot.
