Weekend crime spree shakes Limburg with thefts, assault, and fire
(fp) On Sunday afternoon, a dangerous assault occurred on a soccer field in Hadamar-Oberzeuzheim. Around 4:15 PM, two unknown boys joined two children playing on the field at Wiesenstraße. A physical altercation then broke out, during which the unknown assailants shoved one of the children to the ground and kicked them in the back of the head. Both suspects are described as younger than 14, with dark skin and short black hair. One is described as heavyset, wearing gray shorts and a white T-shirt, while his companion wore shorts and a lilac soccer jersey. Witnesses are asked to contact the relevant investigative unit in Limburg at (06431) 9140-0.
2. E-Bike Stolen, Limburg an der Lahn, Grabenstraße, Friday, August 5, 2025, 11:20 AM – 11:45 AM
(lr) Late Friday morning, an e-bike was stolen in Limburg on Grabenstraße. The owner reported leaving his red Bulls "Evo" model pedelec locked to a lamppost around 11:20 AM. When he returned at 11:45 AM, the bike was gone. Limburg police are seeking information at (06431) 9140-0.
3. Peugeot Stolen, Limburg an der Lahn, Robert-Koch-Straße, Friday, September 5, 2025, 7:00 PM – Saturday, September 6, 2025, 7:30 AM
(sn) Overnight into Saturday, thieves stole a car in Limburg an der Lahn. The owner had parked his gray Peugeot 206 on Robert-Koch-Straße after cleaning it on Friday evening. When he returned around 7:30 AM the next morning, the vehicle was missing. Police are now searching for the car, last seen with license plates "LM-HD 280." Anyone with information about the theft or the car's whereabouts should contact Limburg police station at 06431 - 9140-0.
4. Children Smash Window with Rocks, Limburg an der Lahn, Frankfurter Straße, Saturday, September 6, 2025, 4:15 PM
(lr) On Saturday afternoon, three children used rocks to smash a warehouse window in Limburg. Around 4:15 PM, they climbed onto the flat roof of a business premises across the street on Frankfurter Straße and threw stones at the window. The group consisted of one girl (appearing to be 13) and two boys (appearing to be 9 and 11). They fled in an unknown direction. Limburg police are seeking witnesses at (06431) 9140-0.
5. Trash Fire Outside Home, Dornburg, Egenolfstraße, Sunday, September 7, 2025, 5:33 PM
(fp) On Sunday afternoon, trash piled outside a house on Egenolfstraße in Dornburg caught fire. Quick action by an alert citizen and responding firefighters prevented the flames from spreading. The cause of the fire remains unclear. Witnesses should contact Limburg police at (06431) 9140-0.
