Shed Fire in Schlitz

Schlitz. On Friday evening (26.09.) at around 5:30 PM, a shed fire occurred in Kreuzersgrund, Nieder-Stoll. The resident of a house directly adjacent to the shed noticed the fire and attempted to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher. However, as the flames spread quickly, he immediately alerted the fire department. Soon after, the shed was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Schlitz, Ützhausen, and Nieder-Stoll arrived at the scene, and the local road was fully closed during the firefighting operations.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown. The Vogelsberg District Criminal Police have initiated an investigation, and a technical defect cannot be ruled out at this time. Fortunately, no one was injured. The damage is estimated to be in the mid- to high five-figure range.

E-Scooter Stolen

Schlitz. Between Tuesday (23.09.) and Wednesday (24.09.), unknown individuals stole a black Evercross E-Scooter (model EV10Z) worth around 300 euros from the schoolyard in Schlesische Straße. The scooter was locked to a bike rack using a spiral lock. Rucksack Stolen from Car

Lauterbach. Between 4:20 PM and 5:50 PM on Thursday (25.09.), unknown individuals stole a backpack worth around 150 euros from a brown VW Passat parked on a parking lot in Eisenbacher Tor. Car Window Smashed

Alsfeld. Around 5:45 AM on Saturday (27.09.), unknown individuals smashed the rear window of a gray Daimler Citan parked in Kirchplatz Straße. The estimated damage is around 300 euros. Car Break-ins

Alsfeld. Overnight from Saturday to Sunday (28.09.), several car break-ins occurred in the city of Alsfeld and the district of Altenburg. In Johanna-Meck-Straße, unknown individuals rummaged through a parked gray Mercedes GLC and stole two employee ID cards. Around 4:10 AM, an unknown individual stole two pairs of sunglasses worth around 300 euros from a white Ford Focus in Hersfelder Straße. From a gray VW Passat parked in a carport in the same street, the unknown individuals stole a logbook and vehicle documents. In Erlenwiese Straße in Altenburg, unknown individuals targeted a Mercedes C220 and a white VW Up, stealing a folder with vehicle documents from each. They also attempted to open the door of a red VW Golf parked in a courtyard in the same street but abandoned their attempt for unknown reasons. From a brown Hyundai Tucson parked in Großer Garten Straße in Altenburg, the unknown individuals stole a pair of riding boots worth around 500 euros. In Kelleracker Straße in Altenburg, unknown individuals stole vehicle documents from a white BMW Mini.
