Violent robbery on Liederbach path leaves victim injured and police searching for suspects

A walker was violently robbed on a field path in Liederbach am Taunus on Sunday evening. The attack happened around 7:25 p.m. on March 15, 2026, leaving the victim with minor injuries. Police have now opened an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The victim was approached by three unknown men while walking along the path. The assailants kicked, punched, and knocked him to the ground, using a blank-firing gun during the assault. They then stole his crossbody bag, which contained cash and bank cards, before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspects were described in detail by the victim. One was around 1.85 metres tall, stocky, and had light-coloured hair. A second attacker was shorter and slim, with dark hair and a black mustache. The third man stood between 1.80 and 1.85 metres tall. Police have urged anyone with information to contact them on (06196) 2073-0. Authorities are reviewing the case but have not yet released further details on potential leads or security measures in the area.

The victim suffered only minor injuries but lost personal belongings in the robbery. Investigators are now working to identify the suspects based on the descriptions provided. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to assist the ongoing inquiry.
