Taxi driver brutally assaulted after fare dispute in Wiesbaden-Nordost
A 32-year-old taxi driver was assaulted in Wiesbaden-Nordost on Sunday evening. The attack happened after a dispute over an unpaid fare, leaving the victim injured and the suspect at large.
The incident began when a passenger refused to pay the fare, sparking an argument with the driver. During the confrontation, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the taxi driver.
The attacker then struck the driver multiple times with the handle of the knife, hitting him on the back of the head. Injured, the driver managed to escape the vehicle on foot. The assailant fled in the direction of Emser Straße and Dürerplatz. Police describe the suspect as a man between 20 and 25 years old, around 1.70 meters tall, with a 'southern appearance'. He has a black beard and long black hair tied in a ponytail. At the time of the attack, he was wearing dark clothing. Authorities are now appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.
The driver suffered injuries but managed to flee the scene after the attack. Police continue their search for the suspect, who remains unidentified. Investigations into the assault are ongoing.
