Slingshot attack shatters car windshield in Mörlenbach road incident

A 56-year-old driver’s car was damaged in a suspected slingshot attack on Monday, August 18, 2022. The incident occurred at around 9:50 a.m. as the motorist travelled through Mörlenbach toward Weinheim. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information. The driver first noticed the damage after stopping at a red light and then accelerating again. A sudden impact struck the windshield, causing visible harm to the vehicle. Authorities believe an unknown individual used a slingshot with a steel ball or a similar projectile.

Investigators suspect the attacker may have been positioned in the nearby residential area. The case has been reported to Heppenheim Police Station, where officers are gathering details. So far, no arrests have been made.
