€85,000 for Greater Cohesion: Rheinhausen Receives Funding for Inclusion Project

Rheinhausen wins €85,000 to transform community inclusion efforts

On Wednesday, April 29, it was announced that the municipality of Rheinhausen in the district of Emmendingen will receive support from the state of Baden-Württemberg. The funding will go toward a project aimed at strengthening inclusion and integration across generations.

According to the State Ministry of Social Affairs, the grant is part of the "Quartiersimpulse" (Neighborhood Initiatives) program, which seeks to sustainably improve community life and foster encounters between diverse population groups.

At the heart of the initiative is the Social and Educational Campus in the town's civic center, which brings together a range of facilities—from daycare centers and schools to elder care, medical services, and shopping options. Through targeted programs and professional neighborhood management, the project aims to enhance participation for all residents.

The initiative is not just for those with special support needs but is designed to engage the entire community. Political leaders emphasize that the long-term goal is to cultivate a vibrant and solidarity-based environment in Rheinhausen.

In this funding round, the state is supporting 16 projects with a total of around €1.3 million. The grants can be used for personnel, operational, and consulting expenses.
