Moped rider injured after car fails to yield at Offenbach roundabout

A 34-year-old man was injured in a collision at a roundabout in Offenbach on Sunday evening. The crash happened when a car failed to give way to his moped. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. on August 3 at the roundabout on Landauer Straße / L 509. The rider was travelling through when a black station wagon entered from the direction of Landau. The car did not yield to the moped’s right of way.

In an attempt to avoid a collision, the man swerved but lost control and fell to the ground. He suffered injuries to his left knee and shoulder, requiring hospital treatment. The moped was also damaged in the crash.
