Elderly driver flees after crashing into parked car in Wildeck hit-and-run
A 72-year-old man from Wildeck was involved in a hit-and-run incident on Friday, August 1, 2025. The collision occurred along Antoniengasse, near a parking lot, and resulted in property damage before the driver left the scene without permission. The man was driving toward Eisfeld when he attempted to turn his car around close to a parking area. During the manoeuvre, his vehicle struck a parked car owned by an 85-year-old woman from Hauneck. Instead of stopping, the driver left without reporting the accident.
The crash caused an estimated €4,800 in damages. Authorities are now seeking witnesses or anyone with information about the incident. Bad Hersfeld Police Station has requested that those with relevant details come forward to assist their investigation.
The hit-and-run left a parked vehicle damaged and the driver unaccounted for. Police continue to gather information to resolve the case and identify the responsible party.
