Ludwigsburg's Fuchshof District Pioneers Collective Housing for 1,300 Residents

The city of Ludwigsburg is promoting collective building groups as developers in the new Fuchshof district. On Wednesday, 22 April at 6:30 p.m., an information and networking event will take place in the large hall of the cultural center. The city asks interested parties to register by 15 April.

Building groups not only design their own homes but also shape their neighborhood. They foster vibrant communities and collaborative living, playing a key role in ensuring that new residential areas thrive and remain livable in the long term.

In the new Fuchshof district, several plots have been specifically reserved for building groups. Marketing is set to begin later this year, and the city is kicking off the process with a public information and networking event. The goal is to raise awareness about building groups in general, bring interested individuals together for discussion, and provide existing groups, initiators, and architects with a platform to present their projects, attract new members, and expand their networks.

All those interested in the topic are warmly invited to the event at the cultural center on 22 April. For organizational reasons, attendees are asked to register informally by email by 15 April.

The Fuchshof residential park is currently Ludwigsburg's largest new development area. Around 550 apartments—home to roughly 1,300 people—are planned on the former nursery grounds in the east of the city. The aim is to create a lively, socially sustainable neighborhood with a built environment that encourages a diverse mix of residents while remaining adaptable and resilient to future changes.
