Hyundai Germany's sales director Ralph Kranz steps down after two years
Ralph Kranz, the current sales director of Hyundai Germany, will step down from his role on 30 April 2025. With nearly 25 years in the automotive sector, he has held leadership positions across multiple major brands. His departure marks another shift in a career spanning traditional and electric vehicle manufacturers.
Kranz began his automotive career at Toyota Germany before moving to Aston Martin Lagonda Europe. From 2012 to 2022, he served as commercial director at Volvo Germany, overseeing key business operations.
After his tenure at Volvo, he briefly took on an unspecified role at Nio's German subsidiary. The move was noted in industry publications linking him to the Chinese electric vehicle maker. He later led Nio's German operations before transitioning to Hyundai Deutschland. In early 2024, Kranz joined Moll Group as an authorised officer and executive board member. There, he managed multi-brand dealerships across eight locations. His time at Moll Group was short-lived, as he soon returned to a manufacturer role with Hyundai. Now, after less than two years at Hyundai Germany, Kranz has announced his decision to leave. The company confirmed his departure date as 30 April 2025, citing his desire to pursue new professional challenges.
Kranz's exit follows a career marked by high-profile roles in both combustion-engine and electric vehicle sectors. His next move remains unconfirmed, but his experience spans luxury, mass-market, and emerging automotive brands. Hyundai Germany will now prepare for a leadership transition in its sales division.
