(LH)In the area of Baunatal/Bad Wildungen, from Thursday, September 11th to Sunday, September 14th, 2023, an exercise involving the Hesse Police Air Support Unit and the Hesse Mountain Rescue Service will take place.

Both organizations will train joint rescue operations over four days. Key aspects include transporting mountain rescuers to the scene and helicopter-assisted rescue from difficult terrain. Realistic scenarios will focus on using the rescue hoist.

During the exercise, there will be an increased number of police helicopter flights in the area, resulting in higher noise levels. The police asks residents of nearby communities for their understanding.
