Father and son arrested in Kassel after bold drug sale attempt

Investigators from the OE City of the Kassel police have seized several hundred grams of incapacitating substances from suspected drug dealers over the past two days. In one case, the officers are still looking for a witness who was offered marijuana by two men before their arrest.
Two suspected drug dealers offered marijuana to a passerby in the Kassel city center on Monday afternoon. However, the passerby had no interest in buying it. Coincidentally, he noticed uniformed officers from the Hesse Police Headquarters who were supporting the OE City in combating drug crime in the city center and told them about the dealers' offer. During an immediate check of the two 18 and 25-year-old men, who live in a refugee accommodation in the Kassel district, the officers were able to seize around 14 grams of marijuana, several tablets of prescription medication, and a animal repellent spray. They now have to answer for the illegal trade in incapacitating substances. For further investigations, the officers ask the passerby who gave the police the tip to call 0561 - 9100.
The investigators of the Kommissariat 34, which is responsible for drug offenses, also received a tip some time ago that a 36-year-old man from his apartment in the Wesertor district was allegedly running a thriving drug trade. The detectives were able to further substantiate this suspicion through extensive investigations. When the suspect was observed by drug enforcement officers of the OE City during a suspected sales transaction yesterday afternoon, his rented apartment was searched. In addition to almost 250 grams of marijuana and several grams of cocaine and amphetamines, the police also found the 18-year-old son of the suspected drug dealer, who had several ready-to-sell bags of cocaine and marijuana. Investigations are now being conducted against both family members for the illegal trade in incapacitating substances.
