Drunk man bites police officer during violent Frankfurt arrest
A heavily intoxicated man bit a police officer's forearm during an arrest in Frankfurt on Friday evening. The incident took place at a bar on Mainzer Landstraße shortly after 8 p.m., following reports of aggressive behaviour toward staff and customers.
The 42-year-old was causing disturbances inside the bar when officers arrived. Witnesses described him shouting and pushing other guests before police intervened.
As officers attempted to detain him, the man resisted and bit one officer's forearm, leaving minor injuries. He continued to insult the officers while being placed into a patrol car for transport to the station. A subsequent blood test confirmed his high level of intoxication.
The officer received treatment for the bite wound, which was not severe. The man remains in custody pending further investigation. Authorities have not released additional details about potential charges.
