Kassel-Mitte:
A heavily intoxicated man caused two police incidents at the "Am Stern" tram stop in Kassel on Friday evening. The 47-year-old initially threatened passersby waiting at the stop with a pair of scissors around 7:45 PM, then walked away silently. Despite a subsequent search based on the frightened bystanders' emergency call, the suspect was not found. However, just two hours later, the same man, matching the description perfectly, was arrested at the same location. There, he is said to have harassed and provoked passersby, leading to an argument until a nearby patrol unit arrested him. The scissors used in the first incident could not be found, but the 47-year-old, known to the authorities and clearly under the influence of alcohol, is now being investigated for threats. With a breath alcohol test result of 1.8% and aggressive behavior, his night ended in a police cell. The investigation against the suspect continues.
