Arson attacks strike Wiesbaden city centre overnight with no injuries

A series of deliberate fires broke out in Wiesbaden’s city centre early on Saturday morning. Several trash bins and a tree were set alight, causing damage but no injuries.

The incidents happened between 12:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. across multiple streets, including Hellmundstraße, Dotzheimer Straße, and Blücherplatz.

Ten trash bins were ignited in total, along with a tree in Lahnstraße. The fires did not spread to any nearby buildings. However, the attacks resulted in several hundred euros’ worth of property damage.

No one was hurt during the incidents. The Wiesbaden Criminal Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward. They hope anyone with information about the perpetrators will contact them to assist the investigation.

Authorities continue to investigate the arson attacks. The fires caused financial losses but did not endanger residents. Police are urging the public to report any suspicious activity seen during the early hours of Saturday.
