Police Investigating After Fire Outside Bar in Groß-Zimmern
Arson attack on Darmstadt bar leaves police searching for suspect

Darmstadt criminal police are now investigating a fire outside a bar on Kreuzstraße early Sunday morning (September 28) and are appealing for witnesses with relevant information.
At around 4:00 a.m., callers alerted police via emergency services, reporting a loud bang and flames outside the bar. By the time officers arrived at the scene, the fire had already been extinguished. According to initial findings, an as-yet unidentified individual is believed to have thrown an incendiary device at the closed bar before fleeing in the direction of the Catholic church. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a green jacket. A police search launched immediately afterward has so far yielded no results.
