Wilfried-Ries-Straße Closed: Bus Stops Temporarily Suspended
Wilfried-Ries-Straße shuts down April 16 for final construction phase
On Thursday, April 16, Wilfried-Ries-Straße between Lahnstraße and the Eishaus parking lot will be fully closed again from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to remaining construction work.
Buses canceled, stops relocated—passengers should plan their routes carefully on Thursday.
Anyone traveling through Klarenthal on Thursday will need to adjust their plans. Wilfried-Ries-Straße will be completely shut down on April 16—and for several hours at a time.
Construction site halts traffic
No vehicles will be allowed between Lahnstraße and the Eishaus parking lot on Thursday. From roughly 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction crews will fully block the road. The closure is due to outstanding finishing work that still needs to be completed. For drivers, this means detours, extra patience—and, when in doubt, leaving earlier.
Public transit won't be spared either. Bus line 33 will skip multiple stops, including "Tierpark Fasanerie," "Eishaus," and "Stollenweg." These stops will be suspended without replacement service.
One stop relocates—at least temporarily
There's a small silver lining for passengers: the "Alt Klarenthal" stop won't disappear entirely but will be temporarily moved. Those looking to board there will find the replacement stop at Graf-von-Galen-Straße 82. It sounds straightforward, but riders will need to pay close attention. Anyone following their usual route might otherwise end up staring at an empty signpost.
Checking the schedule pays off
The transit authority advises planning trips in advance. Notices will be posted at affected stops, and updates are available online. A quick glance at the current schedule could save time—and spare some frustration.
