Wiesbaden Cultural Council Tackles Theater Upgrades and Historical Honors

The Wiesbaden Cultural Advisory Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 29, starting at 6:00 PM in Room 318 of City Hall, Schlossplatz 6.

According to reports from the board and administrative office, the agenda includes the following items: "Kulturkaufhaus Biebrich e.V. – Search for New Premises," "Leisure and Culture – Data Collection for the Wiesbaden Statistical Yearbook," "2026 Budget – A Supplementary Budget for Culture?," "Literary Events: Competition from Subsidized Institutions," "Revocation of Honorary Citizenship of the State Capital Wiesbaden for Adam Herbert (1887–1976) and Wilhelm von Opel (1917–1948) Following the Recommendation of the Historical Expert Commission," "Contextualization of Traffic Areas in Wiesbaden Named After Individuals as Recommended by the Historical Expert Commission," "State Theater Wiesbaden: Renovation of Stage and Lighting Technology," and "Renaming of Traffic Areas, Buildings, and Other Facilities Named After Individuals as Recommended by the Historical Expert Commission."
