Weekend crime spree keeps Main-Taunus police on high alert

Police in the Main-Taunus district dealt with several incidents over the weekend. A shoplifter was caught in Eschborn, while officers responded to a violent family dispute in Hofheim-Wallau. Meanwhile, a burglary attempt and a theft in Kelkheim kept authorities busy.

On Friday evening at 21:05, a 34-year-old man in Hofheim-Wallau resisted arrest after a family argument. Officers later searched his home, where they discovered and confiscated narcotics and weapons. The suspect was taken to a specialist clinic and will now face multiple charges.

In Eschborn’s Niederhöchststadt district, a 37-year-old persistent shop thief was detained on Saturday at 20:30. Following police procedures, he was released later. Earlier that same day at 11:30, a 36-year-old man stole a lawn blower from a property in Kelkheim. When confronted, he resisted arrest and caused minor injuries to an employee before being taken into custody. Between Thursday and Sunday, burglars tried to force open the door of a home in Hofheim’s Kreuzweg. The door held firm, and the suspects fled without success. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them on (06196) 2073-0.

The incidents resulted in arrests, seizures of illegal items, and ongoing investigations. Authorities continue to seek witnesses for the attempted break-in while processing charges against the suspects involved in the other cases.
