Weekend chaos in Main-Taunus: burglary, accident, and drunk driving arrest

Burglars broke into the office premises of a care facility in Kriftel overnight from Friday to Saturday. The unknown perpetrators first gained unauthorized access to the residential building on Am Freizeitpark before forcing open the entrance door of an office, causing damage. Investigators are working to determine what the thieves targeted and what was stolen. The criminal police have asked any witnesses to provide relevant information by calling (06196) 2073-0.

  1. Worker Struck by Wheel Loader, Kelkheim-Münster, Zeilsheimer Weg, Saturday, September 20, 2025, 1:35 PM

A worker was seriously injured after being struck by a wheel loader in Kelkheim-Münster on Saturday afternoon. Around 11:35 AM, a 33-year-old employee of a landscaping company was hit by the machine on Zeilsheimer Weg. The 49-year-old operator apparently failed to see his colleague, who was directly in front of the loader's bucket. The victim suffered severe leg injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital by emergency services.

  1. Drunk Driver on the Road, Kelkheim, Staufenstraße, Sunday, September 21, 2025, 2:05 AM

Early Sunday morning, officers from Kelkheim police station pulled over a heavily intoxicated driver. The 41-year-old man was driving on Staufenstraße around 2:05 AM when police stopped him. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.11 per mille. Authorities confiscated his driver's license and prohibited him from continuing his journey. He now faces criminal charges.
