Two 24-year-old suspects were arrested on Monday evening (September 22) for attempting to steal a car through fraudulent means. A patrol from Kelsterbach police station took them into custody.

Around 7:45 PM, the two thieves went to a car rental in 'Am Weiher' street and tried to obtain a rental car using a fake order. The employee noticed the scam and alerted the police. The patrol arrested the two 24-year-olds on a nearby parking lot. The officers then took them to the police station for identification procedures. The suspects spent the night in police custody.

The two suspects are believed to be involved in similar thefts. The vehicle they used to get to the rental was likely stolen and was seized. Investigations into other incidents are ongoing. Both suspects will now have to face multiple charges.
