Russian doctor's seized Nissan X-Trail up for auction over unpaid debt

In Yakutsk, bailiffs have seized a 2021 Nissan X-Trail belonging to a resident with debts totaling 1.7 million rubles.

The individual had signed a five-year employment contract with a medical facility under the Zemsky Doctor program and received a one-time compensation payment of two million rubles. However, after working for less than a year, he resigned of his own accord. When he refused to repay the funds, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)'s Ministry of Health took the matter to court.

The court ruled to recover part of the compensation payment along with penalties, bringing the total debt to over 1.7 million rubles.

The enforcement order was sent to Yakutsk's city bailiff service. Since the debtor failed to pay within the voluntary compliance period, the bailiff imposed a series of enforcement measures: freezing the debtor's bank accounts, banning registration actions on his two vehicles and four properties, and restricting his travel abroad.

"As these measures did not lead to full repayment, the bailiff proceeded to seize the Nissan X-Trail crossover," the press service of the Federal Bailiff Service for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) reported. "The foreign-made vehicle will undergo valuation and be sold at auction if the debtor fails to settle the debt."
