Police probe attempted burglary at Kasinostraße gas station

A gas station on Kasinostraße was cordoned off by police early on Sunday morning. Officers responded to reports of a suspected break-in after discovering damage to the entrance door. The South Hesse Police Headquarters later confirmed the incident as an attempted burglary. The scene drew a heavy police presence, with at least eight patrol cars blocking access to the station. Officers searched nearby buildings and collected evidence from inside the premises throughout the night. The front door of the gas station showed clear signs of forced entry, with shattered glass scattered around the entrance.

Investigators are now examining surveillance footage to piece together what happened. However, key details remain unclear, including the number of suspects involved, the full extent of the property damage, and whether anything was taken.

The attempted burglary remains under investigation. Police have not yet released further information about potential suspects or the outcome of their evidence search. The gas station's operations may be affected until repairs are completed.
