Police Arrest Driver After Traffic Stop in Bensheim
Driver arrested after drug-impaired stop reveals unlicensed operation and defects
BENSHEIM (OTS) — Officers from Bensheim police station provisionally arrested a 34-year-old man early Monday morning (September 22) following a traffic stop. At around 2:15 a.m., police pulled over the driver, a resident of the Bergstraße district, on Nibelungenstraße. During the subsequent check, officers suspected the man was under the influence of drugs. A drug test returned positive for cocaine and THC.
A police database check further revealed that the driver did not hold a valid license. Additionally, the patrol discovered defects in the vehicle's tires. The man's journey ended abruptly, and he was taken to the police station for a blood sample. He now faces criminal proceedings in connection with the incident.
