Mönchengladbach (ots)
From June 22 to 28, Mönchengladbach will host its Digital Weekâand once again, Mönchengladbach Police will be taking part.
Whether it's fake online stores, internet fraud, the "grandchild scam," or data theft, the digital world harbors many risks. Seniors are particularly vulnerable, as fraudsters often target them due to their perceived inexperience. The financialâand psychologicalâconsequences can be devastating.
To address this, crime prevention and victim support experts from Mönchengladbach Police will deliver a 60-minute presentation on current cybercrime trends. Attendees will receive practical advice on how to protect themselves and what red flags to watch for with different types of fraud. After the talk, participants will also have the chance to ask questions.
The event takes place on Wednesday, June 24, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at Mönchengladbach Adult Education Center (Volkshochschule), LĂŒpertzender StraĂe 85, 41061 Mönchengladbach.
Admission is free, but seating is limited. Registration is requiredâeither online at https://vhs-mg.de/programm/kw/bereich/kursdetails/kurs/261D1004, by email, or by phone at 02161/256400.
