The funding is being channeled into a wide range of initiatives: The Meerbusch Equestrian Vaulting Center, for instance, is celebrating the addition of a new horse, while programs promoting media literacy among parents of schoolchildren are also receiving support.

One thing is clear: society as a whole stands to benefit. Traditional customs, such as marksmanship associations, are being funded alongside social projects, strengthening community life in Meerbusch.

This support is made possible by the so-called PS-Zweckertrag (public benefit surplus) from Sparkasse bank. Behind this concept lies the "PS Sparen" lottery: participants save regularly while also having the chance to win prizes. A portion of every ticket sold goes toward local nonprofit projects, directly benefiting the people of Meerbusch.

The funding demonstrates just how much can be achieved when commitment meets support. It helps turn ideas into tangible projects, ensuring that Meerbusch remains a city defined by solidarity, diversity, and initiative.
